Afternoon Powerlines Run

I decided it was time to get back out on the tracks and late in the afternoon was the only time I could do it. I was joined by Gerry and Pete in Pete's brand new Jeep, Callum, Callan (not to be confused with Callum), Sparky and Laz.

Laz and I decided to do a tricky little descent that was a bit rocky. Gerry has some video of this - should be available soon. On the way down I succeeded in narrowing my already crunched exhaust pipe. Need to get the replaced and put a smaller muffler on, methinks.

Next we had a bit of a play in the usual places.

Just at this point my camera ran out of batteries which is such a shame because Laz did an amazing climb up the fenceline that I'm sure had some serious sphincter action happening inside the cabin. Pity we didn't get it caught on camera - it was a great show.

The way Sparky's Pajero climbs things is amazing - it almost makes we wish I'd gotten the auto transmission in the Jeep - it makes using the traction control so much simpler - no riding the clutch, no chance of stalling - just gently (or not so gently!) apply throttle and away you go...
