But it rained on us! Someone obviously ordered autumn early...
Tomorrow morning is an unspecified 120km ride. Should be fun.
For those looking for things to do, the Perth Crit series is on this long weekend and Anna is racing so get along if you can.
For those that haven't seen this type of cycling before, criterium racing is fast and a good spectator event - basically the riders go around a very short circuit (usually 1km or so) therefore you get to see them about once every 90 seconds (maybe sooner). The race is timed - usually 30 - 40 minutes and then once that time passes the riders are given two or three laps to finish. It is very strategic with teams expected to work with each other (or against other teams) and very fast. And on corners, quite hairy. The roads are closed so there are no cars but there are usually a lot of riders.
Races this weekend are in Joondalup (tonight - Friday), Leederville, Vic Park and Langley Park. More details here.
Finally, I'm not doing all this Ride for Youth stuff for fun. Well, ok, not entirely for fun. We're also raising money to help the cause. So please donate if you feel the need.
