This morning was a bit of a logistical challenge. Anna and I are both doing the ride so to get two bikes, luggage and ourselves down to Trench's Gym without leaving the car there for a week was tricky. A taxi was too hard simply because of the volume of gear and I consider it a bit of an imposition on the family to get them to come into town around peak hour just to ferry us around.

So, I packed everything into the car except my bike; drove down to the gym at 6:4AM with Anna; unloaded the car, leaving Anna to wrap her bike in bubble wrap to be loaded into the van; drove back home; jumped on my bike and rode back to the gym.

Given that I wasn't in RFY cycling gear when I arrived (I rode down in my L7/Crossing Crew gear so I would have clean clothes for tomorrow), I'll probably get a fine. First of many, I guess.

As I'm writing this we've just left Kojonup where we had lunch (kindly supplied by the nice people from Delish Cafe in Floreat - it was exellent). Next stop is Albany - we'll unpack, make sure the bikes are in working order and have dinner.

We watched The Castle on the bus - it was the first time I'd seen that movie (yeah, I know - everyone has told me it is a must-see). Not a bad movie and certainly made the kms fly by. After that we watched the first half (maybe two-thirds) of Big Stan in which there was maybe two good scenes. And I'm being very generous.

Tomorrow we're off to North Albany Senior High School and then we head to Walpole.

Small update: Now we're in Albany - we've been for a 90 minute (ish) ride around the town to see the sights and spin our legs out. Dinner is our next agenda item and then bed before the big day tomorrow.
