Today I found Bedfordale Hill reasonably easy. We had a small mishap on the way up with one rider touching a wheel in front, coming off and taking out the rider behind as well but luckily no serious injuries. And no punctures either.
Once we peaked over the top of the hill it is a nice undulating road all the way to Jarrahdale - we rolled through at 2 minute intervals and maintained a good pace - easily averaging 32km/h or more.
Coming out of Jarrahdale is a fun but far too short descent - only got up to about 72km/h on the way down before we were back on the flat going through Mundijong. The rest of the ride was kind of routine - Anna did a nice leadout along Mounts Bay Rd into the wind at about 40km/h.
Tomorrow Anna is racing in a crit in Osborne Park - I'll be doing an easy lap of the river (45km-ish) to spin my legs out before going there to spectate.
At this point we're about five weeks away from the actual Ride for Youth and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm starting to get a bit weary of all the training but it is making a big difference to how I'm riding so that's a good thing.
